What the meter does with the internal stop tap closed, what is on top of the pipe run, how old the property is, and anything your water company has sent you.
We say whether it sounds like the supply pipe
Sometimes it clearly is not, and saying so costs nothing. Where the evidence points somewhere else, you will be told where.
You get the price for the visit before anyone travels
A fixed price for the investigation, not an hourly rate. Any repair that can be done on the day is quoted separately before it starts.
A day is booked
Most of a day is set aside for one property, because a supply pipe job that turns awkward needs the time rather than a second appointment.
Have this to hand
- Both meter readings from the test, and the gap between them.
- Whether the internal stop tap shut properly.
- What is over the pipe run, and roughly how far it is from the boundary to the house.
- Any letter from your water company.
