This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, requested page and request time to deliver pages, protect the website and investigate faults. Its data processing terms describe the safeguards for international transfers, including standard contractual clauses and the UK Addendum where applicable. Enquiries and bookings
When you contact us, we may need your name, contact details, property and billing addresses, information about the suspected leak, access arrangements and payment information. A landlord, agent or another person arranging a visit may provide relevant details on your behalf.
We use this information to answer your enquiry, quote, arrange and carry out work, take payment, provide reports and invoices, and deal with follow-up questions. You can browse without providing booking details, but we may be unable to arrange a service without the information needed for it.
Telephone calls
ADI records calls through its website telephone numbers for quality and training. Its published booking terms also describe using recordings when handling complaints or legal claims. Head-office call recordings are retained for 30 days under those terms.
Why we may use personal information
- To take steps you request before a booking and perform the service contract.
- To meet legal duties, including accounting and tax record requirements.
- For legitimate interests in running a secure service, maintaining relevant job history, improving call quality and resolving complaints or legal claims, taking account of your rights.
- Where we ask for consent for a separate optional use, for that stated purpose. You can withdraw that consent.
Who may receive information
Relevant information is used by the office team and engineers and by service providers supporting hosting, communications, business records and payments. Information may also be supplied to your insurer in connection with a claim, to another trade with your permission, or where necessary for legal obligations, claims or emergencies. ADI’s published policy says it does not sell personal information or use customer data for unsolicited marketing.
For details of the providers involved in your booking, or any overseas processing and applicable safeguards, contact us using the details above.
How long information is kept
Enquiry and job records are kept according to the purpose they serve, including completing work, referring to previous investigations, meeting accounting duties and resolving claims. Retention depends on the type of record and any legal requirement; a request for deletion does not override a requirement to retain it. Contact us for the retention information relevant to your records.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction of use or transfer of your information. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful use. Some rights have legal exceptions.
Your right to object: you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. We will consider your circumstances and whether there is a lawful reason to continue.
Contact us to exercise a right. We may need information to confirm your identity. We normally respond within one month; if a permitted extension is needed, we will explain why.
You can raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
