Every engineer below works on water mains and supply pipes. You get a name, a county and a job count before anybody sets off, and every figure is the one ADI publishes on its own site.

Job counts are each engineer’s total across every leak type, as ADI publishes them, so they cover more than supply pipe work alone. Read on ADI’s engineer pages on 23 September 2026.
How somebody gets to be one
- Every engineer arrives from a plumbing or heating background with a minimum of three years on the tools.
- They then complete ADI’s own training on tracer gas, acoustic correlation and thermal imaging.
- New engineers shadow an experienced one until Mark Jones, the Technical Manager, signs their training off.
- Only then do they attend on their own.
